Michael Tobin, CPA

Mr. Tobin is Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for May Institute. He has over 40 years of finance experience in various industries including experience as the chief financial officer (CFO) for a regional, multi-location retail chain.

Mr. Tobin began his career as an accountant with the International CPA firm of KPMG, where, for 11 years, he served many large clients, both publicly held and privately owned, at the staff and management levels. His clients included several large, multi-location retail chains.

Mr. Tobin subsequently served as the CFO for several organizations, including most recently, 10 years as the CFO of a medium-sized company in the high technology industry.

For 22 years, Mr. Tobin was the lead instructor for a nationally acclaimed CPA review course, providing preparation for candidates sitting for the CPA exam.

Mr. Tobin earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, and holds CPA certification in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
