Ryan J. Martin, Ph.D., NCSP

Dr. Ryan Martin is primarily responsible for coordinating grant-funded research projects at May Institute as well as the design, implementation, and dissemination of independent research projects. He is also the project coordinator for the third iteration of the National Autism Center’s National Standards Project, which is currently under development. Additionally, Dr. Martin conducts diagnostic evaluations for the May Center for Evaluation and Treatment.

Dr. Martin earned his Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). He has extensive experience working in public schools, designing and implementing academic and behavioral interventions for students with and without disabilities. His current research interests include: the development of effective and feasible behavioral interventions for children with ASD; effective methods for training educators and caregivers to implement interventions; and methods for assessing and improving treatment fidelity.

Dr. Martin presents his research at regional, national, and international conferences and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions and Behavior Analysis in Practice. He also teaches graduate-level courses related to consultation, assessment, and research methods.
