Sydney Holmes, M.A., LPA, BCBA

Sydney joined May Institute as a Behavior Analyst in 2019 for the May Center for ABA Services in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She later moved to Virginia and joined our research team working to provide ABA services to military families as part of research grant funded by the Department of Defense.

Currently, Sydney works as the Research Project Coordinator for May Institute’s National Autism Center. Her responsibilities include managing ongoing research projects at May Institute and nationwide, providing support and training to teachers in the classroom, and working to provide educational opportunities to families and other behavior analysts.

Sydney has experience providing behavior analytic services including assessment, treatment planning, direct service, and collaborative care to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and their families. She has a special interest in early skill and language acquisition.

Sydney earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, with concentration in applied behavior analysis (ABA). She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).

Her research has been published in Behavior Modification, the Journal of Behavioral Education, and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, and presented at ABA conferences across the country.
