Karie DePaolo, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Dr. Karie DePaolo is the Assistant Director of the National Autism Center at May Institute (NAC). She has more than 10 years of experience in early childhood education, and has provided behavior analytic services across school, home, and community settings.
Dr. DePaolo’s responsibilities include the development of the National Autism Center’s webinar library and trainings for the Pathways for Parents virtual series, training teachers to implement evidence-based practices in their classrooms, and developing continuing education events for behavior analysts. In addition, she is assisting with the dissemination of research findings related to the efficacy of various interventions for autism spectrum disorder as part of NAC’s National Standards Project.
Previously a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at May Institute, Dr. DePaolo is a passionate supporter of children and families. She has expertise in the areas of assessment and treatment of problem behavior, teacher and caregiver training, and school-based intervention.
Dr. DePaolo received her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level. She is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, the Florida and Massachusetts Associations for Behavior Analysis, the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, and the American Psychological Association.
